Clean Data Labs is a Poland-based data management and biostatistical service for clinical trial studies. Challenge:

Clean Data Labs is an established data management and biostatistical service based in Poland, supporting partners in Europe and North America with their wide variety of clinical trial services.

Before discovering ResearchManager, Clean Data Labs used a mix of EDC systems to support their work: OpenClinica, ClinCapture, and REDCap. 

The first two systems required Clean Data Labs to have their own server, and ClinCapture in particular was an open-source program that turned to closed-source. These prerequisites pushed Clean Data Labs to use REDCap as their primary EDC solution. 

However, REDCap raised some compliance concerns that were brought to Clean Data Labs’ attention by a Polish university partner. REDCap did not fulfill European GDPR requirements because the server for the tool was outside of Europe—it was actually across the pond, located in the United States.

In order to remain compliant and continue serving their European partners, Clean Data Labs knew they needed a new solution. That’s when they found ResearchManager.
